My specialities are : Skiing et Telemark
From the age of three, Fabrice started hitting snowy slopes in Rousses (Jura department). He quickly dedicated his time to downhill and nordic skiing. As he himself says, he became quickly enmeshed in this sport!
Thanks to his acquaintances and due to professional reasons, he decided to teach his passion in the Deux Alpes. Competition, off-piste, cross-country skiing, telemark, snowboarding… For 25 years, Fabrice has had the privilege to teach these different disciplines among mountains.
His teaching method is based on the transmission of the pleasure of snow sports and on his learners’ independence. He shares his knowledge in ESF, which for him shows professionalism, thoroughness, trust and passion- all of this while having fun! From his years of practice, he recalls the very first lessons he provided, from which he keeps lasting memories.
Sliding sports are for him a combination of different sensations that he immediately appreciated. First, the sensation of sliding, linked to the peculiar feeling of being able to move within an ambivalent and unpredictable universe, half between earth and sky. Finally, he likes the coldness of these snowy environment, sometimes softened by the sun. All of this made him want to develop in this world and to improve his technique. Apart from this particular atmosphere, his passion for snow sliding sports and his desire to teach led him to become an instructor.
For this snowy ski runs connoisseur, it is difficult to choose his favourite ones; every area has its charm and its particularities. Yet, Fabrice keeps the bottom of ski slopes for teaching children and beginners, crests for snowboarding and lessons, and slopes for freeride. He also appreciates Bellecombe, and la Fée for they are very accessible thanks to their northern exposure. Finally, he advises the Glacier for its breathtaking panorama.
His teaching experience abroad enabled him to discover new skiing areas. Despite the advantages and drawbacks peculiar to every mountain he explored (height, snow-capped, number of ski lifts…), Fabrice concludes that grass is not always greener elsewhere!
Sport-lover, Fabrice practices several other sports, such as water-skiing, cycling, climbing and motorbiking.
